I love this piece but it hasn’t yet found a home. A beautiful and interesting material, Leland blue slag glass is a waste by product from the iron ore smelting process used in the late 1800’s by the Leland Lake Superior Iron Company based in Leland, Michigan. The oxidized sterling silver hollow form top piece complements the unique pattern in the stone.
